Cervelo P2 fixed gear conversion

So I wrecked my P2 last year and cracked my rear derailleur hanger. I decided to get a new tri-bike and build a fixed gear around the old frame. Here is the result:

Still need to saw off the derailleur hanger…

Components are Sugino track cranks and Phil Wood hubs. Wheels are Velocity Deep V. ****I need to put a front brake on for street riding (since I like living…). This thing rides like a dream! Now if I can only find a tri with a flat bike leg in Southern California, I may actually race this.

so awesome
.

Awesome x2…Did not the giuy that banditted Hawii used to run a fixie…Love the bike
.

Wow, that looks 1000x more awesome than I thought it was going to.

I was going to say that was a waste of an awesome frame, but that is fantastic. Especially as a way to use a damaged frame.

You can get a half link for that chain. Filing down that der leg will also easy.

I have seen P2s used at the track succesfuly and my son used a P2SL and a P3SL before using his current T3. No problem at all.

Nice bike!

Wow.

That fixie’s phat.

sweet.

Do velo’s not have replaceable hangars?

Very nice, very nice! (voice of Borat)

You could also drill out the rivets to remove the front derailleur bracket.

Very nice, but it’d be way sexier with silver wheels and white bar tape.

It looks great, although I would use a Dura Ace track crank and different wheels. The wheels would bug me quite a bit

Very nice! I recently upgraded my frame and decided to keep my old p2k for kicking around the neighborhood. It’s not quite as blinged out as yours. Lots of rolling hills in piedmont area of NC, so I’m running single speed.
