What pads do you use when you replace the Cervelo brake pads?
I got some Shimano and no go.

Shimano pads (Ultegra, Dura-Ace) or any pads designed for that style should work just fine…they don’t fit?

I bought these and the bolt doesn’t come out far enough to get the nut on it. http://www.performancebike.com/shop/Profile.cfm?SKU=765&item=53-0128&slitrk=search&slisearch=true
It sounds like you’re trying to replace the entire pad holder. All you need is the cartridge pads. With the cartridge pads you loosen the small bolt using a 2.5 mm allen key I think and slide the worn out pad, sliding the new one in.
The pad holders should fit too but I’ll have to check on a bike at the shop tomorrow.

Thanks for the input. I didn’t know there was a screw there to take the pad out. It looked like you just had to replace the entire pad and holder.
Sometimes the pad gets stuck. The easiest way to remove it is to use a flat head screwdriver in one of the pad grooves to push it out.
The cartridge pads are much cheaper than the entire holder assembly too.
Just take the new pads out of the new holders and put the new pads in your old holders. Good as gold, no?
Did you buy the wrong thing? Looks like you have Shimano brake shoes
, and not replacement pads?

Yes that is what I did. I figured for a couple extra bucks I wouldn’t mess around with getting the old pad out and putting in the new ones. But those pad holders do not fit on the cervelo brake.
