Cee Gee aerobar pads...?

I used the search & see that there are a few people using these that love them. However, I couldn’t find my specific questions about them answered, so…

How do these compare to the stock PD pads (F-19) as far as comfort and durability go?

Are these thicker than the stock F-19 pads? If so, is it an issue?

How’s the surface/texture? Are they as “slick” as the stock pads when wet?

My main complaint about the stock pads is that, while they’re initially comfortable, they tend to get “squished out” and lose their shock absorbing ability in a fairly short time (~4 months in my case). I’d love to find something that’s more comfortable and lasts longer. And, since the Cee Gees are on closeout (blue/black model), I’m thinking of giving them a try.

Thanks.

How do these compare to the stock PD pads (F-19) as far as comfort and durability go? Great - I would not use anything else - I have used them for 18 months with no sign of wear.

Are these thicker than the stock F-19 pads? If so, is it an issue? Yes and no

How’s the surface/texture? Are they as “slick” as the stock pads when wet? Not slick at all that I have noticed

Does anyone know who has the best prices on these? I need a pair for my Syntace bars. I can only find them at Nytro for $15.95. Is there a discount code for Nytro. Thanks!

not sure if it cheaper, but here is a direct link:

I replaced F-19’s with the CG’s and considered them more comfy, They are thicker, felt surface covering thus less “slick” when wet and last longer.

Worth the $ IMO.

If you’re not opposed to the blue/black, this is a pretty good deal…

I called and there is no difference between the all black and the blue/black besides color. Shipping for a pair to CONUS is ~$4.

I swapped out the stock HED Fliplite pads (which are #$%&$ AWFUL) with the CeeGees and they’ve been great for ~2 years now. No issues with them squishing down, but they are a little thicker than the stock HED pads. Well worth the $.

Use em…love em…no breaking down…they looks the same today as when I put them on the bike originally and my odo reads 846 miles on them…

Another great option would be the Fizik Gel pads for the F19-F22. Just got a set and man, they’re mighty comfy. Haven’t gone out on them for super long rides (over two hours), but the gel sure cusions really nicely. BTW, they are a complete gel pad with a velcro compatible base, so other than the base, these have no other material over the “solid” gel.

Check them out… might be a viable option.

IMO CeeGee’s are one of the least expensive ways to make your bike more comfy when you’re aero. Sure they are thicker but that’s not an issue. I’ve bought 3 pair and wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again. The pads that come with most aerobars are horrible. I had a 3T aerobar that came with cardboard pads if I’m not mistaken…seriously they compressed after about 5 hrs of ride time.
