Guys, I got a Catalyst cover for my HED9+ this spring. When I went to put the non drive side cover on, the hub was actually too offset to have it sit flat on the fairing. Drive side is actually ok with a slight clearance to the spokes going through the hub, but the non drive side actually sits on the spokes on the HUB. I reached out to Catalyst in June and they said they had stopped taking orders due to back orders and manufacturing issues. I was in no rush so said I would follow up. It looks like now they are out of business? Tried this cover on another 9+ and it fit, so I’m wondering if this is just something I can do with spoke tension to try and shift the hub just enough to the drive side to find the happy medium so that both sides of this cover fits. Am I off my rocker for thinking about doing this?
I have the same problem on my RZR92s. When taped down, it has a big dimple. I used some double sided tape on the back and it helped some, but there is still a big dimple. That said, it was still good for a 19 second PR on a flat 21 mile course on 4 fewer watts. I weighed 2 more pounds, too.
It creates a gap, so if I tape down one section, it makes an even bigger gap on the opposite side of the cover. Even if I try and “stitch tape” all thr way around, it makes a wavy install. Drive side is golden.
I’d love the answer to that too, but honestly didn’t see it fitup on my buddies wheel to be able to talk to (and figure out) the difference. right now I’m liking the dremel option if it comes to that.
