Castelli Free Distance tri suit

Does anybody know what size tri suit Timothy O’Donnell wears? I’m similar build (5’10, 155) but there is nowhere around here to try on castelli.
I wear a small castelli jersey and medium castelli bibs for cycling (castelli body paint).
36" chest
30.5" waist
36" hips
31.5" inseam

I’ve got a lot of Castelli gear. I find it run one size smaller than U.S. sizing. I’m 5’10, 165 and a large Castelli jersey fits me pretty well. I’d go with a medium if it was a U.S. brand.

I have the Free suit along with other gear from Castelli and I am always a “tight” medium at 5’7" 155. I would not size up but I like close tight during racing and training.

Yes. A small would be way too small. I’m the same height as you but weigh 15 lbs less, and there’s no way I could wear a small. I ordered both a small & a medium, and I could barely get the small shorts over my hips.

I’m a dealer of Castelli and we are using Castelli for our team custom this year. Go with your normal sizes. If you want to call me about them feel free (425) 493-8444. Their new Tri stuff is amazing! If you can wait you may want to for the new 2014 stuff which isn’t available yet. Also, the Body Paint stuff is even more amazing than the Free.

I live in Europe where we see a LOT of Castelli. In general it all has a tight fit and yes, probably 1 size down from US standards. You’re a bit smaller then I am (6 foot 3), but your chest is similar. I always have size L jerseys and can wear both size L and XL BIBs (depends on the model), but I would recommend size L for BIBs for you. Hope it helps, good luck.

I am about the same size as you and I fit fine in a Medium of that suit. The Castelli gear is awesome, but a slight word of warning: It isn’t the most durable kit in the world. My suit lasted 3 months before the lycra was becoming a bit see-through. I did put it through a couple of cold cycles in the washing machine though which is probably not recommended so YMMV.

Errr…sorry, I recommend M for BIBs for you. I stated L in my earlier post, but I meant M.

yeah, i love my M bibs from castelli. Ive been trying out tris and wanted to get a suit as opposed to the top and bottom.

I am interested in knowing when the new stuff will be available? I am doing IMTX in May, and would love to use the new Castelli stuff, do you have an idea?
