Should all the teeth on my cassette line up from one ring to the next?

ie, looking down the cassette, looks like rows of an orchard.

Did I phrase this right?

I was curious, I saw a pic of someones cassette all lined up. Since I’ve fiddled with mine a bit, I couldn’t remember if it originally did or not!
