I have the old TRS7s and have been long overdo for some new shoes for a while now. I like the TRS9s and they are on sale on a few online sites. However, Tri-Zone, Tri-Sports and All3Sports all have different size charts.
I wear a size 12 Asics running shoe, any idea what size I might be in the TRS9? Websites say anywhere from 45-47.
I think my TRS7s may be a 45, they are very old and I am not sure the sizing is still on them anywhere and they are a touch too small. So I am thinking either the 45.5 or the 46, not sure though. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
I wear size 12, or 12.5 asics. My Carnac 7s are 45 and fit snug, but perfect. I tried on the 9s and it would seem to be 45, but they were an “odd” fit, for me. If you get them, I’d be interested in hearing how they work for you.
Odd fit in terms of size or in terms of the shape of the shoe?
If you are wearing the 45s then I think 45.5s would probably work for me, I think I am in 45s right now but have a slightly wide foot, the extra half size might be what I need.
“Odd fit in terms of size or in terms of the shape of the shoe?”
Just sort of everything…this is a subjective “odd.” It just didn’t feel right. The size and shape seem to be close to the old ones. The volume and fit of the upper seemed different. They also seemed to be more cheaply made, again very subjective from my point of view. I think they are now made in Asia, not Europe.
Interesting - I have TRS 7’s (purchased in 2003) and they seem not as well made as my older Carnacs circa 1997. So the TRS 9’s are even poorer? Major bummer. Especially considering the price tag on these puppies!
I have had the 2s (size 44.5), and the 7s (size 45). I don’t believe I have had the 5s. I personally thought the 7s had some nice improvements over the 2s.
