Litespeed’s titanium rigs? They’re THE shit. My new Ghisallo is the first bike I’ve owned (in a long line of many - aluminum, steel, carbon, but this is my first titanium frame) that has a dramatically different and materially superior ride quality. The thing is amazing. I did a race on Saturday (only my third ride on the new bike) and I swear to God there were many times the bike was going without any help from me (and the race was a 9-mile, 8% average climb). Coming down the climb, I seriously thought my spedometer had broken because it read 39 mph but I could swear I was only going 25 mph - or at least that’s how it felt. Confirmed the 39 mph speed with my buddy. Topped out at 53 mph and I’ve never felt so solid on a bicycle. Used the same components and wheels on my last four bikes (two aluminum, one carbon, one steel), so no variables there. The frame is the only thing that’s changed.
You’d wet your pants if you saw it. 2005 Campy 10 shifters & derailleurs. Easton EC-SLC fork. Zero Gravity brakes. Easton EC-90 zero setback post. White Selle Italia SLR saddle. White bar tape. Now if my damn Easton Ascent II wheels would ever show up (six-weeks and waiting).
My guess is that it’ll weigh less than, or very close to, 15 lbs. with the Easton wheels.
Yup - welcome to the Litespeed family - I have the Ghisallo’s 6/4 cousin: a Vortex that I also like very much. I think Litespeed’s geometry is spot on (if you like aggressive) and the 6/4 Ti is just the right amount of compliance and stiffness that a carbon bike strives for (without the worry of fatigue, wrecking or even paint).
I just don’t care for compact geometry, hence the Vortex. I’d bet you bike is lighter than 15 lbs. since the frame is 1.99 lbs, Zero Gravity brakes, etc. Should float up the hills (especially since it likely emptied your wallet as well)
Well I am happy that you love your Ghisallo as much as I love mine. However, you might be even more amazed when we introduce the new 770g (1.7lb) crazy light frame (Size M) on September 1.
I already test road one the last few weeks and it will change quite a few opinions.
It is awesome.
Cheers,
Herbert

Oh you tempter - I’ve been awaiting something new from Litespeed (other than decals) for a while. Please tell me it is not compact geometry again though. Really 1.7 lb frame?!
I have been waiting to get a new bike too…but, marble in the kitchen and a new slate bathroom have taken top billing…then there is a new car…BUT…if this is that light…and not compact (I am sure it is)…things may change a bit…oh, then there is racing GFT this October…I plan to be on a Rocket Fast (like any bike I ride isnt;-p)
