Carbon drop bars that work with clip-on aerobars

Are there any good carbon drop bars that allow clip-on aerobars?

Kestrel EMS Pro and an Oval model. I think it might be the Oval 9000. You’d have to check their web site. These are kevlar reinforced which makes them about the same weight as a good aluminium bar.

I have the Kestrel EMS Pro. It’s a nice bar, but I don’t really notice any shock advantage over aluminium. To achieve that just get thicker bar tape.

Not true. Where did you hear that?

I think he’s right about only the EC70 or at least only one of the models. Don’t remember which one but you can talk to my riding buddy who just cracked his Easton carbon bars attempting to put clipons on for a race. He’s a tiny guy too.

Actually you’re half right and I’m half wrong. The other two Easton bars can be used with the Easton clips only according to the site. It says specifically not to use Profile bars. It also states that the earlier EC90 carbon bars can’t use aero bars at all. Here’s the link:

Carbon drop bars are so much more expensive and not much lighter, andits trickyto get tri bars for them.
So why bother ?
