It’s open until Dec. 15 for those who are interested. Hubby and I are signed up as a group.
Did this race last year- there was ample space for “in person” signup even tho the race was officially full. There were about 100 guys who went in for “day before” signup and everyone got in.
am i correct that this is just a half marathon? (not a half-iron)
Hmmm, that looks kind of fun…kj
.
Yup – none of that nasty swim or bike stuff:)

Me and wife got in…
Looking forward to seeing Moab!!!
We’re in too. Make sure you book your lodging ASAP. We stayed at the Motel 6 last year in town – it’s clean and close to the finish line. This year, we’ll be staying at the Red Cliffs Lodge, which is right on the course. We stayed there last spring break with the kids and really like it.
I am already booked for Ramada. That was the only place I could find which was in the center Moab.
Good Luck
I’m in again this year! I love this race!
A solid race. Very well-organized and amazing scenery. I’ve done this race for about the past 6-7 years in a row. It is not “downhill” at all. Rollers the whole way with some false flat during the last 2-3 miles. Have seen Michael Lovato there a few times. This year, I’ll be getting ready for Calif 70.3 and won’t be doing the race in Moab. Have fun everyone!

If you want to add some nasty biking, I would suggest the White Rim Road around the Island in the Sky section of Canyonlands. You’ll need to get out your mountain bike, but it’s a nice 100 mile+ loop. Most of the loop is relatively flat, but there are several big climbs that make up for the rest of it. For the Moab area, it’s not a very technical trail and a pretty enjoyable ride. Most people use a a support vehicle, take 4-5 days on the trail, and drink a lot of beer. But the people who HTFU complete it in a single day carrying their own supplies. My suggestion though, would be not to crash 40 miles into it, break your shifter, and have to hobble the next 60 miles with at most 3 gears…so a friend told me.
