Does anyone know the difference between the standard Canyon Speedmax and the women’s version? I’ve gone through and compared the geometry of the CF 8 disc & CF 8 disc Wmn - I can’t find a difference (apart from the paint job).
Cassette 11-32 v 11-30 and rear derailleur (short cage v medium cage) appear different.

Hmm. Doesn’t seem like a big difference to make it “women specific”.

For some not even the cassette differs, CF SLX 8 Di2 both run 11-28. Not even cockpit or saddle are different, so it comes down to the paint job. Only difference is that the WMN model is only on offer in size XS-S-M so I wonder where the listed weight difference of 200gr comes from.
Canyon seems to be in two different minds about whether or not men and women need different bikes. For the aeroroad and speedmax there is no different in the mens and womens frames. They have recently started maxing a women’s specific version of the Grail which follows the motif of pink it (literally) and put a ‘women’s specific sadddle’ on it. Then on Endurace the mens and women’s bikes are actually different geometries.
I remain unconvinced that you need women’s specific bikes if you actually build small bikes properly. With the correct geometry adjustments across a size range I believe a single frame series can accommodate both sexes. That being said I own a ridiculously pink 56cm Specialized Amira because it was dirt cheap after sitting unsold in a shop for three years. I am all for whatever is needed to make good bikes cheaper.
Obvs they’re still working to the old mantra of ‘pink it and shrink it’ to make it a women’s bike.
Wish they’d offer the bigger cassette and derailleur on a size L / 58.
Well if there is no difference, I’ll be going for the black not the women’s puke salmon colour!
when shopping for my wife’s bike, I learned that the 2 big differences are smaller sizing options and the smaller shimano shifters that are more comfortable for smaller hands.

Yeah, I was pretty much down in the weeds to spot those differences.
