Hi -
Does anyone know where I can purchase a plate that covers the bottom of speedmax cockpit? Something similar to what a lot of the pros have. I have a screenshot of Laidlow’s bike below.
Thanks!

There is a company on instagram (website is currently being upgraded) stride.parts, that offers one. Looks pretty seamless.
I reached out to stride.parts around 2 months ago and they let me know they are selling the cover for digital download only… I do not have a 3D printer so that does not help me that much! I messaged them again so hopefully they change their minds - I would assume there is a lot of interest for the covers
Where are you located? If it’s a digital download it’s easy enough to have a 3rd party service print it and ship it. If you’re in Europe I could also print it for you.
How is this not prohibited by this rule:
(b) Protective screens, fuselages, fairings, or any other devices or materials (including duct tape) added or blended into the structure with the intent to reduce (or having the effect of reducing) resistance to air penetration are prohibited. Aerodynamic assemblies and protuberances on the head tube or elsewhere are prohibited;
Oh I know. It looks professionally made. Not a written rule but that’s what the CEO of IM said the interpretation would be. Better hope the one from stride.parts is made well, a few imperfections and it might not get the same pass.
Happy to get the file as well, so I would ask a friend to print it.
Do you have a cockpit closure plate file to download or know where I can procure one?
Hello! Did anyone ended up getting the file to 3d print?
Not me unfortunately. I also e-mailed the owner asking if there’s anything (stock leftovers or even prototypes) I could order, but no luck.
FYI, I had the original cover from them, but it broke due to me overtightening the bolts.
Has anyone seen anywhere outside of Russia this shape? Looks like the one used by the Canyon-sponsored pros up until 2023.
Edit: link stopped working so I’m sharing the screenshot.
I have not. I am still trying to track down where I can find a company that makes a cover. I have reached out to stride numerous times and not have heard back at all. Really would like to get one before the season starts
If somebody can provide some detailed measurements I could have a model made and make high quality prints on my company’s machines and also ship internationally with DHL. We’re based in Berlin, Germany so European shipping is cheap, US shipping is typically $40 for what we ship normally. I would estimate part cost to be around 100-150 €/$ but would need to look further into it.
I actually happen to have the computer mount for the Canyon, so I don’t need the cross section of the pole but the length and the measurements for the cutouts needed at the back for the mono riser and arm pads. We could also do two lengths for different sizes easily.
Hi I have one of these covers, happy to help with you creating one?
I should’ve kept mine in pieces, after it broke.
Hope you’ll be able to share the dimensions with Nickel and I’m happy to order first from Berlin to Zurich.
I would not want to make a straight up copy of another design, but dimensions would help. I may be able to lay a hand on a Speedmax in a few weeks and might be able to do a 3D scan with this scanner that I have, need to see if it works.
I also put a little thought into the design and was thinking to make it a two part design with layer lines printed at 90 to each other to add strength in two directions kind of like 3k carbon fiber. That gave me the idea to add a little carbon fiber between between the two shells and use the 3D print like a mould but not actually de-mold and not do the time intensive finishing work.
Definitely would be interested in the plate if you are able to make it work!
I would be interested as well please.
I have discussed it with colleagues, my3D print/carbon fibre sandwich idea should work. We’re looking into the the right resin/3D printing material mix to make a strong part that would be far more sturdy than pure 3D prints but significantly cheaper than pure carbon fibre.
I still don’t have any measurements, if somebody can provide detailed measurements or even a 3D scan (the Polycam app and a smartphone might be enough), we could get started on design. It may take us a little though, for CAD we’re pretty busy with our main project at the moment and I’m guessing we’d have to do a few iterations.
I downloaded that app, tried maybe 8-10 times and gave up. It’s beyond my skills, sorry.
