Cannondale SLICE RS....No more. What's next?

I know may of you will cry micro tears (not a lot of love for the Slice RS…for various reasons).

Heard from Cannondale Rep that they are scrapping the RS design, and are coming out with a new high end/Super Tri bike. He had no idea on timing or release dates, only said it could be end of this year or maybe next.

Anyone know more on this??

I’ll give 'em points for not endlessly following down a losing path.

But they lose points for making a shitty bike to begin with.

So much potential for that bike. Did in by a stupid seat post design (may be fast but lets be honest, it looks dumb) and some crappy brakes.

They need to keep the RS for the UCI teams and build a TRI SPECIFIC ride. And 9 times out of 10 that means a tall headtube that people can actually fit (i.e. P5, P3, shiv, etc)…

If they’re going to go tri-specific I’d like to see:
-removal of seat stays (ala Culprit Legend)
-beef up the chain stays and use them to redirect air appropriately
-elongated seat tube near the top tube (ala P5 and SC with draft box)
-a sufficiently tall head tube to take advantage of the last point and to have the stem in line… or nearly in line… with the top tube
-integrate hydration and brake up front (imagine a TriRig Omega and a Torhans Aero 30 that were designed to blend into one piece at the front of the bike with the head tube)
-provision for storage between the seat tube and down tube (ala Specialized Shiv Fuel Cell)
-Di2 integration (hide everything… but in an accessible location)

I’m sure I’ll think of something else in a few hours…
