I am ready to get a new roadbike and am looking into Cannodale 6/13 and the Caad 9. Is there really a big difference between these 2 frames in terms of the feel during the ride?
I have owned both, I crashed and broke my CAAD 7 this past summer (my favorite bike in 15 years of riding) and replaced it with a Six13, to be honest, I really do not feel the difference. If you get a cannondale I highly recommend spending the extra cash and upgrading to the SI crankset. If you want a road bike I would get the Canyon Ultimate F10. Not so well known in the US, but probably the best road bike for the buck. Good luck with your decision.

do u like the SI carbon crank or the alum version? And when u say there is not much difference, i assume u r comparing after long rides like beyond 100 miler? Thanx for the info. That really helps. I am heading towards the Caad9 direction but i will check out the Canyon.
I just got a CAAD 8 and I adore it.
carbon SI is made by FSA and not so good. Mine is turning itself into a powercrank by unbonding, as is my brothers. Our Hollowgram cranks are fantastic.
I wouldn’t bother with the six13, the full ally bikes ride so well and leave more money for other toys.
I have over 8,000 miles on a caad8 and a six13 and they’re both great bikes. I really can’t tell much difference, even over very long rides. I’d save some money and get the aluminum bike
The alum version of the cranks are more expensive, but are much better. As posted by someone else. I would go with the Alum ones. I really feel no difference between any of my rides whether long or short when comparing CAAD7-9 to the Six13, especially compared to the cost difference. Most of the cannondale riders from the old school (a few years ago) Lampre and Saeco teams prefered the Alu frames compared to the Six13, eventhough the Six13 has been improved since those times. If I could do it all over again I would buy the canyon as my training bike. I ride a lot in Spain with Germans and well Canyon is very popular and numbers do not lie.
