Cane Creek

Just wondering why more people don’t ride Cane Creek wheels?? what do people think of them? I was at a 'cross race this weekend and tons of people were riding cane creek wheels with the cross bikes (yeah i realize it’s north carolina so they’re local).

nobody likes road rims with mountain bike hubs.

I rode cane creek volos SS’s for about 1000 miles or so. I loved them, they were great wheels. I ran over a drill bit and it put a hole through the wheel, and I ended up getting a new bike with Easton wheels, so I don’t ride them anymore. I would, though, if I came across more of them.

I’ve bought a pair of Cane Creek Deep-V Road wheels a couple years ago for my road bike. At the time, I weighed about 200 lbs, and was consistently breaking spokes on my stock Mavic’s.

I would recommend them to any heavy rider. They are a very solid wheel. Never had a problem.

Got a new pair of Volos SS off ebay for a good price. They have been super true. I have them on my road bike, which is campy, so I don’t ride them much (my tri bike, which sees 99% of my volume is shimano). But they are pretty solid. The hubs are not super smooth, but they work well. Good training wheels, but not sure I’d want them for much else.

any interest in selling those wheels?

Nashbar or Performance have a great deal on some Cane Creeks. I can’t remember which model.
