Canadians no longer want to live in closests

Sigh. Even Americans think Toronto is “Canada”.

3 points for the post title.

The article talks about Vancouver as well which I’m pretty sure is not even a suburb of Toronto

In theory this would start to relieve the housing shortage

Vancouver mentioned once.

So if I can find an article that mentions two US cities having condo “resets”, I can say that Americans don’t like to live in “closelets”?

Do I have to be the one to point out that closets is horribly misspelled?

Not really, because most people don’t want to or can’t live in one of these shoeboxes. If you’re in the market for a one bedroom condo then yes, this is helping you massively right now.

The single biggest relief to our housing shortage has been our change in immigration. Our population actually dropped last year.

It’s the Canadian spelling

No you have to drop a u for it to be Canadian spelling.

Most of these condos owned by speculators. I think this is a welcome correction. Very few people wanted to live in them but in Toronto anything else was too expensive.
