We are looking a one of the new body style toyota camrys. I was curious if anyone has put a 56cm road bike in the trunk of one - I’m sure with the front wheels off - maybe rear seats folded down. I have a hitch mount carrier and will have a hitch receiver for it, however, sometimes I like to carry bikes in the car too and figure it can be done easy enough, but would like to hear first hand feedback.
Thanks and appreciate any yays or nays on fitting in the truck.
A long time ago when I was driving a 1996 Accord, I could fit my 61cm road bike in the trunk with the seats down and front wheel off. My 2013 FR-S could also fit a 54cm road bike.
Other way to fit a bike is across the back, behind the front seats, with front wheels off.
A new camry is much bigger than both of those cars. You should have no trouble with fitting a road bike in there unless the tunnel is too narrow.

I have a Mazda3 sedan (2016) and fit my 55cm road bike in the boot (trunk) with both wheels off without having to put the seats down. It wouldn’t be hard to compare the size of the boot with a Camry. I’m guessing with the seats down it wouldn’t be an issue at all.
