I’ve been thinking about doing this and just ride around the park with my daughter. Not sure if this works or will ruin my tri bike.
Would love to hear your experience.
pics would be nice if any. Thanks!
Never connected chariot to tri bike but it connects using a special skewed Therefore do not see why you couldn’t or any issues with it
.
I’ve also never connected to a tri bike. But on road bike it’s a coupler that attaches to the rear skewer. As long it clears your rear derailer I don’t see why not.

If your tri bike has a horizontal dropout in the rear you might want to be careful…
I know in theory it shouldn’t matter when everything is clamped down, but …
I keep the chariot on the steel road bike, there are lots of connection types for them… some skewer attachments and some clamp to the seat stays. Either way i would be wary of attaching it to a CF bike, the good chariots do a decent job of weight distribution, but it is still applying a lot of force to one side of your bike.
So, metal frame… go for it. Carbon fiber… you might want to just use the running stroller and leave the bike in the garage.
I have a Chariot and the skewer connection works great and I use it on my CF road bike all the time. I see no reason why it would be a problem with horizontal dropouts, after all, you tighten down your skewers and ride.
I’ve done this before and it worked just fine.
Done it, it works fine.
It looks a little silly, and you prolly won’t be aero much but no reason you can’t do it, even with a carbon frame, at the low (I assume!) speeds you will be pulling your child.
Obvious answer is definitely not!
Go buy another bike!

When riding with horizontal documents, the chain tension pulls the wheel tighter into the dropout. A trailer is pulling in the opposite direction. It should be fine when tightened correctly, but there’s less margin of error.
If anyone is looking to sell just the skewer, let me know. I bought my chariot without the skewer (previous owner lost it somehow).
Thanks
I bought a Kestrel (as it has normal dropouts) so that I could have an ok tri bike that would be able to take a stroller as i used it a ton as we only have one car. I would def not put it on a bike with horizontal dropouts with the pressures on the bike.
