Can anyone recommned a sports physio or chiro in Toronto?

Hi All,

My training pal has a nagging groin pull that doesn’t seem to want to heal.
He’s tried everything, including substantial rest and it still flares up on him.

Does anyone know of a good sports chiropractor or physiotherapist that could help.
I need him healthy in the spring to ride/run with!

Thanks!

Great physiotherapist in Port Credit - Nanci Dodman at Port Credit Physiotherapy. Nanci has completed a bunch of IM, raced bikes at a high level + takes a real “fix the problem, not the symptom” approach. She also understands the mentality that athletes will do whatever it takes to get healthy.

No way I would have made to the start line at LP last year, or at a number of races over the last 5 years without Nanci’s help.

May not work location-wise, but if your friend can get out to Port Credit it is worth considering

Rather than just working with athletes…they are sports specialists.

I believe Dr. Howitt works with Triathlon Canada

Hands down X2
Or you can see Dr Pajaczkowski, for fantastic treatment with attitude
.

love it!

You may want to try the folks at:
Absolute Endurance Training & Therapy

A great facility geared towards endurance athletes. Cindy’s a great chiro/physio.

I use Chris Broadhurst (Athletic Therapist) and Lawrence Micheli (chiro / ART / acupuncture) at the Clinic for Sports Medicine in the Toronto Athletic Club: http://www.torontoathleticclub.com/clinic.htm

Both have a lot of experience with triathletes (amateur and pro) and I trust them.

Thanks, sounds graet!

x3. worked with Howitt. fantastic.

"Arry at Toronto Athletic Club was one of my “mentors” in my early days. He’s been around the tri scene for a long time and is an all around great guy.
Cindy at AETT is good too, she’s also a kona vet so she’ll have first hand experieince to go along with expertise.
Scott at SPC, like I said, is one of the leaders of the profession, a great guy, and a can’t miss. Put it this way, he teaches chiros how to be good chiros, but is also a rehab specialist.

Either way you go, you’ll be in good hands.

If in Ottawa, see supermartin73

Thanks all, really appreciate the responses.

I second that! Kept my body together for the past 7 years. Absolutely best in city. Scott is at the Thornhill location or see Alex in their Port Credit facility. By far the best I have worked with.
