I recently purchased a great BMC Time Machine and looking to put a compact crank on it. Entire bike is outfitted with Campy Record 10. Can’t find a new one anywhere. Am I totally screwed?
not sure about Record but I know they make a compact 10 in Chorus, I have it on my climbing bike.

Since Record has gone 11 spd I think this is top end Campy 10spd compact crank: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/campagnolo-centaur-red-10-speed-p-torque-carbon-chainset/. I would guess the bolts are a standard size and can replaced if the red color is not your thing.
I have a lightly used Record 10 compact crank w/172.5mm arms… pm me if you’re interested

You are correct but we would strongly advise that chainring bolts are changed by a ProShop with full training or by a Service Centre.
Campagnolo carbon chainsets sometimes have the chainrings shimmed to ensure that they run true to specification (not required in alloy chainsets as these are machined post forging to guarantee the trueness of the spider) and those shims, need to go back in the places they came out of, when swapping rings / chainring bolts. It’s very easy to make a mistake, so we generally recommend that this is not a “home job”. Also, an accurate torque wrench and the correct grade of loctite are required to carry the operation out and to maintain the warranty on the crankset.

When shopping for a Campy crank, remember that different models come in Power Torque and Ultra Torque. So you might want to match which BB you now have. Power Torque also requires a special puller to remove. So keep that in mind if you’ll be changing it again in the future.
