Calling all Packer fans

Your hosts Jessica and Tony are eagerly awaiting your arrival in Cabo. Popcorn will be served on the flight down by TO. You can all watch the big game together and talk about how the Giants dont have a chance in this one either

Poor offensive game plan on the Packers part, Harris proved that for every big hit he makes he gets burned twice. Packers D-line speed was slowed by the cold. Manning played really well, Burress is still the jerk he was when he played in the big 10. Despite arrogant a-hole NY fans like yourself I will root for the Giants against Bell-a-cheat and the suddenly human Patriots. Giants by 7.

Packers D-line speed was slowed by the cold.

How does slowing by the cold not afect both teams?

I noticed you forgot to mention the #1 reason why the Packers lost … Favre made two horrible decisions and misthrew two balls that ended in bad interceptions. The whole year the Packers were winning b/c he wasn’t doing that. He picked by times to be the gunslinger.

Great season by the pack, but only one team represents each conference.

Because Kampman and KGB are light, speedy guys not bull rushers. Kampman got the corner once the whole game, KGB once and that was because he timed the snap perfectly. The whole season was successful largely because the receivers ran short slants etc… with big yards after the catch. In the last 8 games they had Grant’s running game to compliment the short passing game. McCarthy gave up on both too early in the game. Packers could have won with better offensive and defensive play calling IMO. Giants played a good game, period. Favre played pretty well and I give him a pass on the poor decision making/bad throws. They wouldn’t have been there if it weren’t for him.

Packers could have won with better offensive and defensive play calling IMO.

See, I saw a different game. I saw the Giants D essentially shut down the packers (except for one long play), while giving them extra chances with dumb penalties on 3rd down, and handing over an interception (R-Dub). Consider 2 missed field goals, and the Giants could have rather easily won this game in a run away.

The game wasn’t anywhere near as close as the 20-20 score. Just going by the feeling of the Game it was more like 31-14 Giants … to my surprise. Still, the Packers kept catching break after break after break after break … and still lost.

I sadly concur.

Great year for Favre & the Pack, and I confident that they will be back next year–one of the youngest teams in the league & $25m cap room.

Rooting for the Giants in the Superbowl. They need Brady to be somewhat human though.

Jessica Simpson grosses me out! I think I’d rather go to Cabo alone…or perhaps with Gilbert Brown

packer fans were talking smack all week and now the giant fans are the arrogant ones?

Not sure what Packer fans you heard talking smack all week. Most of us love our team and were just happy to be in the post season. Personally I would have preferred to go down to Dallas and hopefully beat them on their own turf. I guess arrogant would better describe the Yankee fans but ask yourself how Giants fans in their home endzone would have reacted if a visiting player taunted them the way the Giant player did when he faked the “leap”. He’d either have a dozen beers tossed at him or maybe a bullet or two. The Giants played well and deserved to win.

Yep. I had not seen the Pack all year and was surprised at how bad Favre was. This is one of the great QBs of all time playing at home in possibly his last big game? Oh well. In addition to some throws that were obviously disastrous, there were so many others that seemd either ill-considered or poorly thrown. There was one fairly early in the game where he threw long into what looked like triple or quadruple coverage. The Giants pressure was nothing out of the ordinary. Take away the 90 yard play (which was really the receiver’s great play in chucking the CB aside), and Favre’s stats would be pathetic. The biggest difference in the game was that Eli vastly outplayed Favre.

“Harris proved that for every big hit he makes he gets burned twice…… I will root for the Giants against Bell-a-cheat…”

I like Al Harris – Fear the Dreds! I thought he showed a lot of character in the game. I am rooting for the Giants for all the reasons you list (Bell-a-cheat – classic) but I have another one. Apparently, “The Donald” is a good friend of the Patriots owner and is always in the box. What a douche. Go Giants. I really hope you are right on the score.

“Still, the Packers kept catching break after break after break after break … and still lost.”

I don’t know. I thought there were several calls that could have gone either way and went the way of the Giants. The Giants got some very timely penalty calls. I think there were breaks both ways.

In the end, the Giant’s played better on that day and deserve the win. Good season for the Packers, let’s hope they build from here and have a dominant performance in 2008.

Good luck to the Giants down here in Arizona, but I gotta say, I’ve pretty much lost all interest in the game now. New York vs Boston…I really don’t care. Heck I’d almost rather suffer Texans…almost.

“Still, the Packers kept catching break after break after break after break … and still lost.”

I thought one of the things that helped them lose was the fumble in the 4Q that the Packers player (no clue who it was- remember they said he was a rookie IIRC) tried to pick up the fumble and run w/ it rather than fall on the ball. Dumb move by a young guy going for the glory rather than securing it for the team. Then again, could the Packers offense have done anything w/ it?

BTW, did you guys see the Giants coach’s face? That dude had some wicked windburn/frostnip going!
