California residents - my 9 yo daughter needs your help for a school project!

If any California residents want to help her out…please PM. Her assignment is to try and collect postmarks from as many California counties as possible. So, if you could send a postcard, or even just an empty envelope…it would be greatly appreciated!

PM me for my address if you want to help (or, pass along to friends and relatives around California).

She gets a pizza party if she wins…which is major to a classroom full of 9 year olds.

What county are you in and what do you have so far?

How many counties does CA have? With over 43,000 registered members i, for one, would be extremely disappointed if the ‘collective’ couldn’t come through with almost all of them.

This sounds like a challenge - to the Main forum you go!

I can do SF. Katy could do Alameda. I could probably get someone from San Mateo or Santa Clara.

I live in Contra Costa (East Bay). Have this area, and most of the Los Angeles area covered. Northern, South Eastern, Eastern Sierra are the key ones.

I don’t have her list with me here at work. But so far, the major ones seem to be covered (courtesy of fellow ST’ers and relatives). See my other response - Northern (anything North of where we are - East Bay) counties (Marin and up), Eastern Sierra and San Diego area.

She sent off two emails last night to Humboldt county administrators - but, no guarantee we will get a response. She is going to start filling in the gaps with emails to other CA admins. She is also hoping to get the most replies :wink:

How about Placer?
I can get Yolo and Sacramento pretty easy (got a 5k in Davis saturday). I might be able to get Eldorado and Nevada counties without much fuss too

I want to thank everyone for your help - it’s really a great sign of what the ST community is willing to do.

In order to “pay it forward” and thank all of you for your help, I have made a small donation to a friends fundraiser for an inner-city school in Detroit (my old hometown).
