My foot pod is calibrated to my outdoor run at an easy pace. We I run on a dreadmill, I get a different pace on every treadmill I use, although some are closer then others. I would have to recalibrate everytime so I just go with the calibration for my outdoor run. For me, close enogh because it’s not really about the distance, its about the time running.
You certainly can calibrate it with the 800 meter run, but if the treadmill is calibrated incorrectly, then your foot pod will be as well.
Just wait for a warm day and go run at a track.
Yeah, I did. I only use my footpod for treadmill runs. I put my bike w/ speed sensor on the treadmill to see the actual speed (rather than just go off the treadmill setting) then calibrated to that.
