It’s quite the horse race we have now.
data from 538
latest GOP poll – YouGov/Economist (Oct. 8-11): Cain 33, Romney 18, Perry 10, Gingrich 9, Paul 7.
Average of 6 GOP polls in past week: Cain 24, Romney 22, Perry 13, Gingrich 8, Paul 8, Bachmann 5, Hunts 2, Santorum 1.
Perry now down to 9.7% chance of winning GOP on Intrade. Cain (9.5%) may soon surpass him.
Oh yes God, please let it be Cain.
Obama, four more years!
Agreed. Cain is a 7-9 pt Obama win…and that is assuming he doesnt do anything stupid.
Debate #1, Q1: so how exactly does running the 9th largestpizza chain make you qualified to negotiate nuclear arms treaties?
It will be a bloodbath.
The way the GOP is rallying around Romney, and the fact that Romney will have to take a hard line righty as his running mate, only means one thing - FOUR MORE YEARS! It’s all but done, and we’re still a year away.
Cain is currently dominating the “people who hate Romney and latched onto Bachmann before realizing she was crazy and jumping ship to Perry only to realize he was crazy and jumped ship” demographic.

Fixed it for you.
R’s are in tatters. They dont have an intelligent conservative (yes, a major oxymoron), and the Tea Party hates Romney for a variety of reasons. Romney is a 4-6 pt loser, unless the economy really shits the bed again (and even the Repub congress just played right into Obama’s hands), and then it might be close…anyone other than Romney is a loss…which the R establishment knows and is fighting against.

Bwaaaaahhaaaaaaaahaaaaaaahaaaaaaa! You are classic!
As opposed to the inexperienced fool who is driving the country into a ditch right now!
Your stupidity would be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic.

I guess I’m confused, how exactly was our current President qualified to negotiate an arms treaty? Oh right, he was a junior Senator from Illinois who started running for President the day he was elected to office. Prior to that? What, community agitator? Or was it his 3 months spent “behind enemy lines” (his own words) working as a contractor for a major corporation? No matter what you think of Cain, he is a self made, very successful man. I think a debate between Cain and Obama would be fun to watch. A highly intelligent black man against our current President, a man who has a problem putting together a coherent sentence without a teleprompter.
That was pretty angry. Did a certain sports team lose tonight to another certain superior sports team or something? Let’s calm it down.
Nah. Mopdahl is a dipshit. Always has been.
I think I could hold my nose and vote Romney if Obama continues to coast to November. I don’t know. He’s a bit corporatist for my taste, but so isn’t Obama (despite the class warfare jargon people like to spout). Haven’t seen enough about Cain, but not looking good so far. In the debates he got called out for making a stupid comment and at least said “I didn’t know then, and am now better informed” or something to that effect. That stuck out at me. It’s completely dumb how far a ridiculously small bit of modesty goes in politics when no one else will ever admit to screwing up once and awhile. I should not be impressed by that.
But that would completely be off the table of it looked like the GOP would take the Senate. Because the Democrats have too many complete spineless sissies to put up a fight with a minority in the Senate like the GOP did for two years. And the current GOP in Congress seems to be on the crazy train, so I don’t want them to have any sort of rubber stamp.
Cain is a real black dude. A salt of the earth conservative southern soul brother. Nothing was handed to him. He didn’t grow up in academia or via uncle sugar like fake black dude obama did. He busted his ass following the example of his father. What stirs the ire of liberal d-bags is that he did it in the deep south…that’s where he made his way.
Just watch. I guarantee you libs will start mocking and attacking his ;folksie’ southern vernacular. Racism at it’s finest. Mark my words.
Cains experience/trajectory is not totally outside the norm of the African American experience in this country. Other AA libs are like fucking babies because Cain doesn’t fit the ‘victim’ mentality prescribed by liberals/democrats and upon which the AA demographic at large is overdosing.
Conservatism has evolved to the point where are real black dude is a front runner = it’s about the best dude for the job. Liberalism has de-evolved to where the black dude embraced by whitey is a sell out to whitey because he has betrayed the victim mentality prescribed by liberal whitey to their obedient and subserviant black underlings = slaves of the bullshit of liberalism…= his qualifications do not matter, it only matters that he’s a sell out to his race
I hope Cain pulls it off and I hope he calls Allen West as his VP
Two real conservative soul brothers calling the shots!!
Thoughts Mopey, Ya-Hater…?
Mopey already gave you his best shot - 9th largest pizza chain dude don’t know nothing 'bout nuclear arms treaty! Bloodbath!
Funny thing is, mopey forgets how well that worked for Hillary. Remember the old “who do you want answering the phone at 3 a.m.” line? Yeah, that worked out well for her …
I concur with your prediction. You will see racism at its finest by the Lefties if/when Cain becomes the front runner.
“I guess I’m confused, how exactly was our current President qualified to negotiate an arms treaty?”
Whomever the GOP puts up won’t be running against Sen Obama with no experience. They will be running against Pres Obama with several years in office. Of course, that can be a double edged sword, but it means that it’s time to stop dragging out the “What experience did Obama have?” lines. Sen Obama circa 2008 is not in this race.
Oh yes God, please let it be Cain.
Obama, four more years!
You guys realize this isn’t a football game, and four more years of Obama economic policy will pretty much ruin what little is left of the economic engine of this country.
Time to quit playing partisan and find somebody who isn’t a complete d-bag when it comes to making the tough decisions that need to be made.
Dan

Good luck with that.
Let us know how it goes for you.

Why would he want this guy as his VP?

Well the answer to Mopdal’s question is, we don’t need another nuclear arms treaty, we need a POTUS that knows how to get the economy back on it’s feet. Cain and Romney both have some economic chops, and this does not bode well for Obama, as he has utterly failed on this front. Unless he changes the subject, which is very difficult, it’s the pub’s election to lose.

True, now he has a record, and he is running hard from that record. The pubs are in good shape by just pulling up reality.
**against our current President, a man who has a problem putting together a coherent sentence without a teleprompter. **
America is getting used to this.
