Just saw an ad on YouTube for Cadesport. https://cadesport.com/ and the realism and features look interesting. It’s another monthly subscription thing, and it looks like a better version of Zwift. Anyone have any experience with it. There’s a 14 day free trial. I use to use FulGaz, and also Rouvy so not opposed to try this one.
I downloaded it, haven’t tried it yet.
Appears to be a descendant of the Royal cluster that was CVRCade. Great DC Rainmaker article about how terrible that was.
My initial thoughts on seeing it - a LOT of focus on steering and braking, which apparently they think needs to be an integral part of virtual racing. Given that there really is no good, natural steering system - I think they’re chasing the wrong thinks and targeting the software at a niche crowd. That being said, the graphics (other than the riders) seem pretty good. Rider animation is a bit wonky, but it seems to be on a lot of platforms.
yeah - like i wonder if im an outlier, but i have zero interest in steering and braking indoors. i enjoy being able to zone out a bit on that stuff and just deal with the wattage and tactical demands of the race. its sort of fun not to have to consider the other stuff. thats what real life is for.
