I bought it a few months ago based on another poster comment about it. I have Flo 30s which I find super hard to put on a Tire (continental 4000s). I had it today, got a flat, and was amazed at how simple and effective it is.
Can’t beat $12 (At least what I paid) for such easy Tire change help.
I am a tool a minimalist and hate specialized tools for the most part but it is in my tool box. As we discussed with the TUBELESS Vittoria Corsa Speed tire, the Kool-Stop Bead Jack can literally be a finger saver.
I only wish the handle was a bit shorter so it would fit in my jersey better, but it is always going with me if I am using the FLO 30s!
Thanks for your recommendation and experience. Reading the Amazon reviews one guy cut the handle short to stow away and it still worked great. I have no experience with this, but for $15 seems worth a try.
I finally bought one of these an actually received it today. Hopefully getting my new wheel this Friday so it will make it’s maiden voyage installing a tire this weekend(another HED Plus Wheel for me).
this the right one?

YES!
No pinching issues with this?
We have started to shift over to wider rims eg HED plus etc . . and I am finding that they are generally speaking for most tires, much harder to mount go-to tires like the Conti 4000II S.
If you pinched a tube using the bead jack, you would no longer be allowed to install tires

Noticed Tacx posted this on their FB page a couple of days ago… looks like a tire jack that can be carried on rides. Cheap too.
This looks like a good design, if the material is strong enough to handle the forces.

I guess it is always possible to pinch a tube, but not like pinching a tube with a lever upside the rim. So from that standpoint much more unlikely to pinch.

I am a tool maximalist, so of course I have this. I have only used it twice in about 4 years…but it was handy when i did!

To be fair, a lot of habits were derived from never having a permenant place to keep stuff in past. I did just look up prices for a phlobomist on eBay so clearly my habits are being unwound.

I can bring fans, rollers, leg compression, bike pump, etc to our next race, but I can’t help you with blood lab tools Whoop!
I agree with Triagain3. I Hope it can handle the load of pulling on the handle. Looks like it would snap pretty easily.

Yeah, I was/am a little sceptical on how well it performs… for that price I’ll probably order a set and see.
this guy looks pretty good too.
I carry one in my top tube storage on every ride (training or racing).
Good idea about cutting it. I’ve been looking at new options for top tube storage, but I have to be able to fit the bead jack in there.
I don’t think that would work well on HED black wheels.
