Burned out

Training for a TT series. Got two races down, next one end of the month, then about one a month after that… Job schedule this year forces me to train every day at 4:30 am. Last year I had Mon., Thurs., and every other weekend to hammer, then do a 4:30 am ride just a couple times a week. This every day thing has me worn out. I just keep getting weaker. Yesterday I tried to do cruise intervals and couldn’t turn a 53x16 with a slight tailwind. Should have been an easy 53x15 or 14.
My legs always feel like they are moving through water.
Hate to sound like a crybaby, but this “real life getting in the way of training” thing sucks.
If you are burnt/overtrained/underrecovered what do you do?

Take a break. If like me you enjoy racing too much try something completely different for a while. Once burnout starts its hard to shift. Take some time out and come back hungry…
