From your saddle? I used to get bruising after long rides until I swapped saddles. FWIW, I went from a Sitero to an ISM.
No not from saddle, mainly get them from running. But not always

Does “hard” equal “fast” (as in sprinting) for your workouts? A couple of years ago my ill-conceived attempt at seeing how fast I could still run the 100m dash left me with large bruises on the upper front of my thighs. My interpretation is that it came from small tears in the muscle fibers that developed because the muscles were not used to that kind of activity any more (especially the rapid leg-lifting motion during the sprint).
