Over the weekend in a stupid drunken stupor with some friends got tackled playing football and I either severely bruised or fractured the tailbone. Everything I’ve found online suggests it’s a slowhealing wound, not much can be done and you just have to be patient. Biking is doable but somewhat painful. Running a bit more painful but not to the point of where it stops.
Anyone have prior experience and can comment as to healing process or if I should cease running?
Bruised mine real bad snowboarding. Sitting down hurt like hell for a month. Running wasn’t affected, but MTBing was not fun at all. I didnt road bike then. Not a fun time at all.
Two years ago during the icy winter, went down a flight of stairs on my arse. The tailbone area has many joints/bones and it hurt like hell standing up from a seated position and trying to sit down for weeks.
I did mine speed-sakting last Sunday. Can’t say I noticed much improvement since then. Still sore and stiff, but remember that ice is your friend. Let’s hope next week is a bit better.
