I’ve been a glycerine runner for several years now. The 19 seemed to run smaller and my normal size didn’t feel right to me. I thankfully had a bunch of backup 18s that I’ve been using. I’m on my last pair and wonder if the 20 series returned to their normal sizing, or if ppl will need to go up a half size like the jump from 18 to 19.
Anyone on here a “tester” for Brooks? I’m wondering if anyone has had a shot at wearing them.
The glycerin traditionally has at least for the last 4-5 editions, needed a bit more length in the shoe. The Glycerin 20/Glycerin 20 GTS has a bit more length and the toe box feels really nice on my foot. The DNA Loft V3 foam is nitrogen infused (just like beer) and is a lot smoother (just like beer) than previous editions. The Glycerin & Glycerin GTS are the exact same shoes with 1 exception. The GTS has the guiderails the Gylcerin does not
I was trying the Saucony Tempus on yesterday and while I liked how that shoe feels better than the Glycerin GTS I really liked the toe box on the GTS better enough so I’d go with the Brooks over the Saucony
It’s 20’s have more spring and rebound to it. If you compare it to something with a bit of a rocker like Saucony Tempus you can feel that it’s a bit flatter and doesn’t transition as well as the Tempus. It’s fine in transition, if you’ve never thought about that before when wearing the previous Glycerin or Transcends (what the Glycerin GTS was formerly), you will like the current glycerin/glycerin gts.
IMO if you liked/loved the glycerin you’re going to like/love this shoe even more.
We’ve got a complete size run in of both the glycerins and glycerin gts’s. Contact us here, let us know I sent you and if you’re out of AZ it’s free shipping, no tax and 10% off.
