Breakfast before 1/2 IM

What do you eat and when do you eat it?

Same breakfast as any other day. Two bowls of Cheerios (one honeynut, one multi-grain) w/ skim milk, banana, 6 oz cup of yogurt, coffee.

It’s mostly portable (when I travel, I can pack the cereal and banana and bring instant milk and coffee), and my stomach knows exactly what to expect.

whole grain bagel with flaxseed smeared with almond butter and all-natural jelly about 2hrs before race. 2 cups coffee 1hr before race.

strawberry poptarts and orange gatorade…breakfast of champions!!!

A bowl of oatmeal w/ a tbsp of sugar and a banana. Sometimes will have a clif bar about an hour before race start. Won’t do milk in the morn…bad things happen…bad things…
