Bragi Dash

So I am thinking about getting a dash but all the reviews are turning me off and don’t justify spending that money. If anyone has a pair, please help me out but answering these questions.

how does it work in the pool?
How are the new updates? Any problems? What’s your overall opinion of it?

Thanks!

Typo! It’s Bragi.

I have one, and love it. It works very well in the pool - BUT - I found out that despite the fact that I thought I’d love swimming with music, I hate it. But, with the firmware update they did about 4 months ago they fixed all the swimming function issues and it works like a charm.

The new updates are great too. Better volume control, better response to touch controls. Biggest weakness still is body interference with bluetooth signals. Works great with a phone if you use an armband, but you may have issues if you want to stick the phone in the back of a jersey and try and stream audio from the phone to the earbuds.

I use the built in MP3 player function 98% of the time. Figure you combine the cost of an mp3 player (I can’t run with a phone, too much bulk drives me crazy) and the cost of bluetooth earbuds and it’s no cheaper than a Dash.

Thanks for the help. Fixed the name. Ha but I have been trying to find some new reviews but haven’t seen anything since the updates! I will def consider it.

i love it

PRos : no cables
sound quality
water resitance

cons:
battery life - mine lasts only 2.20 mins so on my longest runs last kms are without music
no shuffle function - it just goes through 4 available playlists how you put them
.

got them for the wife…

she’s getting nearly 2:30-2:45 out of the battery… only drawback would be she used to put her phone (old small iPhone) in a little pouch made in her running pants ( in the small of her back) and the signal would drop occasionally. I got her an arm band for the phone and she’s wears on on the same side as the pickup. ( I can’t remember which side). Seemed to solve the problem. For $300 bucks I expect a stronger signal personally. Other then that it’s the first pair of headphones that she actually loves.

Have you considered Sammy’s option? I liked the Dash when I saw it, but then Samsung answered with something that seems equally as good. the IconX is $100 less than the Dash.

I was looking at the samsung one but it isnt water proof, only water resistant.

Well, that and the oxygenation probably a count for the increase in price.
