Any of you fine Boulder locals have any current water temps for the reservoir? Current weather is hot so I’m assuming IM Boulder will be a non-wetsuit affair?
I was out there last Saturday and the temp was 72f at 6:30am (not a local btw, I was out there on vacation).

The thing about a very dry climate is that evaporation will be a potent cooling mechanism and nights will be cool enough to also keep the temperature down. It’s not like the humid south or northeast where evaporative and radiative cooling is minimal this time of year.

I swam 4K fairly aggressively there this morning in a full suit and I was quite comfortable…and I tend to feel warm when it’s 74+. No idea what the water temp was, but would venture to say it was 74 or lower.
according to the gate attendant it was 73 degrees when I called yesterday. If they keep the inlet open letting in runoff from the mountains it will most likely stay wetsuit legal.
Anyone remember what the temp cut off is? I was thinking 78 degrees?
up to and including 76.1 for wetsuits. if 76.2 to 83.8 they are optional but not eligible for awards or roll down
