The FSA washer I just checked is 3mm. And a few others range from 4mm to 6mm…
That’s a good bit different than mine I have sitting here. I’m measuring 0.8mm uncompressed
What BB is that from? I’ve never seen a BB wave washer less than 3mm…
Same with all wave washers I’ve ever used - fraction of a mm when compressed. These are from Trek’s GPX BB bearing kits, Enduro Bearings and Wheels Manufacturing products for both 24 and 30mm. If I had that much space to take up in a BB install I would use shims.
Maybe FSA is doing something different. I quit using their BB products after their second or third take on the MegaEXO BB.
OK, let me rephrase that: If you have an FSA or SRAM 30mm crank and BB that are set up to** factory** specifications, switching the wave washer to the drive side will offset your crank 1-2mm to the right…
