Looking at moving my nutrition bottle on the bike between the arms, but the bottles will tilt back toward my bike as my aerobars have some upward tilt. I don’t want electrolyte drink dripping all over my bike, so are there recs for reliable water bottles that won’t leak? I’ve typically just held water BTA for this reason. Thanks.
I’ve been fighting this battle for years. I feel like the Elite Fly bottles have been the most consistent. They have a great flow rate, don’t seem to leak when the cap is closed, but their only downside is that the bottles tend to wear out faster because they are somewhat thin and lightweight.
None of the Specialized caps have held up long term and eventually leak. The Garmin/TacX bottles that Maurten uses are TRASH (the nipple loosens up and opens/closes as you squeeze the bottle). The Polar bottles are actually pretty decent and I’d say they are second to the Elite Fly bottles.

See, the Specialized Purist bottle with the MoFlo caps all have survived for nearly a decade here without any leaking.
It’s the cheaper tops that drive me insane.
Actually I just got some new caps from Specialized, I think they’re the Omni? Those have been very good so far. They only thing they lack compared to the Elite Fly bottles is some flow rate.
Agreed. The Omni caps are fantastic.
The MoFlo caps leak even after only hand washing. I also like the grip on the Omni caps.
The other issue I have is when you have a tight cage, as one would, to prevent the bottle from launching, the cage itself is actually squeezing the bottle a little. I’ve come back into transition before to have a bottle 3/4 full as it’s being squeezed slightly from the cage.
For me, camelback podiums are the best. But the larger are only 710 ml. And idk why they stopped making those with nice colours.
I’m using right now the Elites fly (because 950 ml) but after some training sesions, the caps started to leak.
Polar Bottles have worked for me. And, I can get them in 30 oz size.
I’m having good luck with the Specialized WaterGate (updated to the Omni) caps (on a Purist bottle) BTA. My Elite bottles drip/leak, and my CB Podium will slosh out drops when I go over bumps if the bottle is over 1/2 full (unless I twist-lock the valve…which defeats the purpose).
Weird, I use cheap bulk bottles from Amazon for BTA and they never leak.
