Bottle Cages for Aid Station Bottle Sizes?

What bottle cages do folks use to securely carry on-course bottles at US races?

I’m new to triathlon and recently did IM 70.3 Santa Cruz. I took a bottle of water at the first bike aid station, tried to put in my BTA cage (Xlab Vulcan) and saw it was too small and would probably slide out if I didn’t hug it. I put it in my BTS cage (Xlab Xenon) and 5 secs later in launched (fortunately within the aid station zone).

I’m dong IM Arizona next month and would really like to hold onto bottles. I saw several athletes at Kona carrying on course bottles, so at least I know it’s possible.

You attach a rubber band to your cage. With that you can secure any size bottle in the cage.

Look into this adjustable one. I think this might work for your bTA system.

Used this for years in my BTA system. Securely held any bottle. New bike has an integrated system, the only reason I’m no longer using the arundel.

I figured this would work great. Just set to Gatorade or water bottle that they hand out at the aid stations and that’s it.

“The Looney Bin will hold anything from a convenience store bottle of H2O to a nice bottle of Pinot Noir.”

It’s worth buying just for the sense of humour alone.

I have a Profile Design Kage between my arms and behind my saddle. It has worked pretty well for me.
