I’d already read his memoir of the same name (twice, in fact - the physical, paper & ink, page-turner, then the audio, because I just HAD TO hear him narrate it), but this stage show was the next level ABOVE the next level
Thanks for the recommendation. That was seriously brilliant, and in unexpected ways. Had it been pure fiction it would still work as a piece of storytelling. But that level of raw, naked autobiographical honesty was compelling.
His autobiography is an impressive reminder of his status. We know he is famous and expect him to know other famous people. Still, the sheer magnitude of it is remarkable. My favorite was when he forgot to tell his wife that Gorbachev is coming for dinner.
