Even though I shower after swimming in the pool, and even after taking a shower the next morning, I still have the chlorine smell on me. My pool either has too much chlorine, or my soap isn’t strong enough (Lever 2000 bar soap). What say you, slowtwitch, on which soap to use for getting rid of the chlorine smell after the pool?
ps- Yes, I do use soap during both showers.
Triswim. You can buy it on trisports.com or at insideoutsports. I feel it works well.
The only thing that works for me is to go for a run that sweats the chlorine out.
In nearly 30 + years of pool swimming I have never found anything better than Kiehl’s.
Edit: This does not “cover” the chlorine smell, it neutralizes it. Chlorine makes my skin itch and this is the only stuff that keeps me sane post swim.
Anything with an extremely strong citrus smell - like grapefruit.
Trader Joe’s has a nice grapefruit body wash.
I don’t know about the Kiehl’s tho I have tried other products of theirs and love them. I would bet that product does work. However, I am cheap and impatient so I went to Whole Foods and got a body wash/ shampoo by WATER BABIES. Its not a really lathery soap but it does get rid of the smell and its cheaper than other products I found ($8.99). I use it on my suits too.
