Bob Roll (“our” Bob Roll) also lives in Durango Colorado. I also suspect “our” Bob would have tried to save the bikes instead of the car after the wife, kids, dog, and bird. 
Since the article mentions Ottowa, it’s probably in Canada.
This has nothing to do with cyclist and commentator Bob Roll.

…no, this is not in Ottawa Canada. We have no North Ottawa County here.
Grand Haven in Ottawa County is a beach town that also functions as a suburb for Grand Rapids and Muskegon.
And it’s definitely pronounced differently than the Canadian capitol.
