I’ve got a 2010 team carbon, really pleased with it, always feel very fast on it, but I’m a bit of newbie so probably not the best person to ask.
But from what I gather the 2010 bikes were great value for money so I got into triathlon at just the right time!
I read that the brakes for these bikes are in the front fork and down where the bottom bracket is, it that something that’s common? Never seen that done before.
No experience with Boardman but with all the discussions about Chinese carbon framesets on roadbikereview, I cant help but think that looks like an expensive paint job on one of the variants of the Chinese open mold TT frames.
Well, that’s Slowtwitch, Chris, lots of negativity, much of it completely mindless…
Please don’t let that put you off contributing to the site as and when your busy schedule allows. Your input is always very much appreciated.
Best of luck with the launch of the new models.
Cool TT bikes. A few questions: is that a German Scapula fork? Any close up pics of the hidden front and rear brake mechanisms? Any option to get a zero offset seat post, it would seem simpler and more elegant than the UCI (also known as the UCsillyI) compatible seat post that is shown in the TT bike photos. Any chance of adding a 2 “bottle bosses” to the top side of the top tube of your TT frame (like the Trek Speed Concept has)? This is an emerging standard and will allow my company to design some highly aero and fully conformal bento-type packs, which many long-distance triathletes need. And integrating the bento pack design to your bikes’ stem set arrangements will actually reduce the aero drag of your frames. Adding the bosses shouldn’t require a whole new mold, it’s probably an easy mod to your existing molds.
Every square cm of our bikes are designed and tested from scratch by me and my team.
I made my living out of riding time trials (and was known for technological advantages)
Alistair Brownlee makes his living out of winning triathlon races on one (he won the World Cup today)
Pete Jacobs won the Aus Ironman on one of our TT bikes last month
It upsets me when people are so fast to trash something they have never seen

Please don’t let small minded opinions put you off. There will always be naysayers and this forum is always good for that. That said I am awaiting the availability of your lineup here in the US. Your bikes look very promising and if you are able to hold the value position that I have seen mentioned regarding your products I think US cyclists will be rewarded. Also looking forward to seeing what the feedback from the HealthNet team will be this season racing your bikes.
FYI, there is a difference between naysayers and people who would like to see data before they drop a couple thousand bucks on a bike. The goal is to go fast in a race, not spend money aimlessly.
