Is Boa ever going to sell the DIY kits that we saw in Kona?
I love the boa system on my Zoot Ultra Race and Ali’i. Is like to try the system on other shoes as well.

I contacted them a while ago, and at this point no. It can only be done at the races they go to and only by their people.
Are they afraid we might screw it up and create tourniquets?
I think they are missing out on a great opportunity. The price point might be a bit high for every pair of shoes I go through, but for my race specific shoes, they would serve me well.
The only suggestion I would make to them would be to add a piece of rubber flexible tubing between eyelets so that the wire doesn’t dig in when you really tighten up the lace. Of course, you could always loosen the dial, but the boa system is great for the shoes that need a snug fit.
So youre saying we should develop our own?
.
It seems the market is open for such a device. Look at lock laces, yanks, speed laces, etc.
If it was possible to sell and make a profit at $10 per kit, I think it would do well.
