I know this can be highly personal, but I’m looking for feedback on good wireless earbuds for running. I tried the Jaybirds which came recommended, but never could get a good fit. These are strictly for working out and running, so sound quality doesn’t have to be up to audiophile standards. Sweat resistance/durability and secure fit are my top priorities. What are y’all using?

I’ve gone through 3 sets of BT IEM all in the $30 range. None lasted more than 2 months. Reading reviews on Amazon it seems even the expensive ones don’t hold up. At $30 it’s worth a risk to me, at >$100 not really.

because they are $14 and the reviews (even though they may be fake) are good. Not much to risk.
I’m going to stick with the cheap models until I’m sure there’s a set out there that my sweat won’t kill. As of now, I don’ think there is.
My first foray in to BT earbuds was jaybird. They were good until I used them to train and they lasted about 4 months. I have had the beats now for over a year and they have been rock solid. I have worn them in the rain and snow and many workouts. I have poured water over my head during marathons with out thinking about it and they sound as good as when I bought them. I travel weekly and I use them constantly too. They are not cheap but they have given me everything and more than I really expected.
I bought some redfox’s. They were great, comfortable, and never fell out. Pretty good volume. But they broke after about 6 months of heavy use on the trainer and treadmill. Redfox sent me a new pair with relatively little hassle, but the next pair ended up breaking about 8 months later. Good customer service and I liked the product, but horrible durability.

+1 (almost)
My Jaybirds have been excellent… unlike others who had sets break down… mine didn’t… well… not for 2 years at least
Then the balance went off recently… due to being too… err… gunky (uuugh) … cleaning them almost fixed the issue, but not quite. and having even a slight headphone inbalance meant I tend to run in circles.
Was gonna plump for a new pair… but decided to try something different…
First I tried Plantronics Backbeat Go 2… aaaargh… horrid sound compared to the jaybirds (with the jaybords I used complyfoam tips to get great hassle free sound). Sent them back immediately
Then I tried the Beats… so far holding up (but I seem to not have agressive sweat given my Jaybirds durability) but the sound is awesome! they let in more ambient sound (for some that is good, for others bad)… but even doing that they have a great beat that isn’t too against the rest of the sound range, they work for me even with glasses and hat, no drop outs… very very happy
Couple of negatives though: call quality sucks. with the jaybirds people could understand me when running… not with the beats. The cable has taken ages to become less stiff (and stop tugging when drooped over shoulders), more wind noise.
For me I recommend both Jaybirds and Beats… if you are unlucky either may fail on you due to sweat. but that isn’t certain (I use them in rain, and sweat on them nearly every day)… but the sound quality both are awesome. I would say it is just a case of whether you want sound isolation (Jaybirds with ComplyFoam tips) or not (Beats)
I vote none. I bought the Plantronics Backbeat Go2 based on the best reviews. It touted 4 hours play time… Right out of the box on a fresh charge I’m lucky to get 2.5 hours. I bought them to use indoors on the trainer mostly and those sessions can be around 2-3 hours. Meaning they don’t make it all the way through, AND I have to remember to charge them after every use. I went back to using my samsung provided earbuds that came with my galaxy S4 as they are louder, just as clear sounding, and don’t require charging. But that’s just one mans opinion.

I have the Plantronics as well, and I also reverted to wired earbuds as well. For me the main issue was fit. I kept pushing the Plantronics back in every 30s or so during runs. Annoying.
I just got the Soundpeats Qy7 from Amazon for $30. They sound really good, and the price is right, but (and it’s a big but) you have to be willing to spend about an hour playing with the 600 different combinations of ear pieces that it comes with to get a fit that will sort of kind of stay in your ears. Then, you will have to loop the cord that connects the earbuds over each ear, then put the earbud in the ear, or else they won’t stay in when running (the Amazon reviews suggest they will stay in otherwise, but my experience says no, without looping the cords over your ears they will come out). And, to work the buttons while running and not knock them out of your ears, you will need the dexterity of a neurosurgeon.
With that said, for $30 they sound great and I just got back from a run in the rain with no problems, so if you are willing to mess with them to get a good fit, I think they are OK for the price.
