Blue t16 bike

thinking of buying this bike, can anyone tell me what they think of it? good, bad. don’t know too much about this brand but can get a good deal on a new one.

I have a friend with an older Blue tri bike and she loves it. Also, a few people here have posted about their experience with their bikes and they were all positive.

I have a T12 and am generally happy with it, but there are some negatives. I don’t know if the T16 addresses any of these:

  1. Internal cable routing is a beast to work with. If you do you own shop work, keep the patience reserve high.

  2. Seat post clamp is awful. It’s really hard to torque down enough to keep the seat from slipping, and once you do you’ll never free it again. (My first seat post was stuck so securely the LBS had to demolish it to remove it. They replaced it with a new seat post from Blue, but I’m not sure what will happen if/when I need to remove/adjust the new one.)

Also, note that the geometry is more time trial than triathlon. If you want to ride steep, this may not be a good fit for you.

I believe newbz just got a new t14. PM him. Also, I have a T12 and absolutely love it. I highly recommend purchasing the t14.
