Blackwell Research Disc (label removed). $750 shipped in US
This wheel was made by Zipp, and is essentially a non-dimpled Zipp 900 disc. 980 grams according to Blackwell. I am the second owner. Only used for races - total (including orig. owner) 2 HIM, 5 Oly’s. Veloflex Carbon tire . I would rate this disc as “as new” condition. no scratches or scrapes, always stored in a padded bag.
Ultegra 11-25 cassette included
Skewer not included.

Do you have any pictures? When was the tire last glued to the rim? Are you including the wheel bag in the sale?
The tire has been mounted for 2 years but has plenty of life. The wheel bag is not included. and its actually a 7800 cassette

Do you know if the axle can be replaced with Zipp’s track axle to run it on a track?
To be honest I have no idea. Some sites indicate that yes it can be done but I am really not sure…anyone know the answer?
http://www.zipp.com/accessories/detail.php?ID=126 It would appear if you have the correct axle to convert it with that YES you can. However THIS conversion axle will NOT work with THIS disc. Not sure if this helps or not…but I would say as long as you have the correct conversion axle that you are able to make it track worthy
Yep, the track axle for non dimpled Zipp disc is out of stock, so you need to find a used one on ebay or somewhere else.
Thanks for the help. So who wants to buy this thing
if you would like to sell it at what ive seen these sell for ill buy it.
they have gone for like 425
flo is going to make a dent in discs especially older ones id go 450 but no higher and that would have to include shipping
So what is your bottom dollar? …If its still available.
Thanks,
Jim
I have been looking but the older Zipp track axle is not easy to find.
