Should I buy a black singlet or it’ll just kill me??? (I mean will the sun kill me?)

I have one and I rarely wear it. In fact I think I’ve only worn it for sprint distance races. It just seems too hot.

It was like 45 degrees at the swim start in '06, but got up to 70ish later in the day. It was super hot in '05 when I was there to watch. The weather is so variable in the mountains, its hard to know.

I bought 2XU’s Comp Top with Pockets (not a singlet) in black and had the same concerns, but I’ve done a few pretty sunny and warm rides and don’t think it attracts or retains heat like black clothes normally do. Must be the material?

I’m planning to be wearing it at IMLP.

I have the 2xu elite and it works great and it does not get hot; I live in FL. I have used it in sprints, OLY, and in a HIM.

Actually, this is exactly the 2Xu I was looking for… very nice cloths this year!

I wore one at IMAZ in April and was fine. It was totally salt covered so in reality it was almost white, which reflected the heat. But I like the look of it, not many people have a black tri top so it looked pretty good

Have some DeSoto tri-suits in different colors. Have not noticed any difference between the white/grey and black/red in hot weather.

I was considering long black tights and a long sleeved black top for my next triathlon. :slight_smile:

I’m looking for the black and white… I also like the white one, but white… for a girl… I know what that mean and I don’t really want to test it!

Oh sht! It’s not black but purple… that sucs then… white? Full black? Blue? (My bike is red, so pink is not an option unfortunately)
