“Of the available teams I could see him in Vegas.”
That would be amazing. And give him a 10 year guaranteed contract and rebuild the correct way. 14 head coaches in 23 years is a pitiful way to run a franchise.
Can you imagine. They get their QB. Then in the division you have Reid/Mahomes, Harbaugh/Herbert, Harbaugh/Mendoza and Payton/Nix. That would be a tough division for years to come.
I think so but wasn’t he fired by the NFL over the content of his emails? And he also proved to be mediocre or worse at drafting. Alex Leatherwood in the first round was a joke. Crosby and Josh Jacobs were his best picks.
As a Raiders fan I would love it. I can’t see it happening and they would find a way to screw it up if they did. These last 25 years have been a little rough.
I agree. I have been a fan for 46 years and I was 14 when they last won the Super Bowl. It has been a rough couple of decades knowing that there is not much of a chance of things changing. Mark Davis does not seem to have a clue but at least we have Brady allegedly running things now.
An owner cannot have a titled role unless they are a relative of the majority owner. (I learned that yesterday btw)
He could be the defacto GM but he has not shown any interest in putting in the time necessary to do that well. You can’t do that on 2 or 3 hours a week.
But with the influence he has been given I think a coach who wants roster control or an actual good GM are going to find better places to work.
I’ve been a fan since I was 6. That was a very long time ago. The first 25+ years were a lot of fun. The last 25 have been miserable.
You can’t build a good team with the instability they have had. It just doesn’t work. And I don’t see it changing any time soon.
I just read that he is involved with the GM a Davis on all aspects of the hiring process as well as the draft. It appears he is spending more time with Vegas than with the Fox production team and Fox is currently ok with it. The NFL added some Rules which I will Paste below.
To mitigate conflicts, the NFL established specific “Brady Rules” which have evolved over time:
Practices & Facilities: Brady is prohibited from attending team practices or being in another team’s facility.
Production Meetings: Initially banned from all production meetings, the NFL has since allowed him to attend them remotely this season. The amount of information shared in these meetings is at the discretion of the individual team.
Criticism: As an owner, he must adhere to league bylaws that prohibit public criticism of officials or other teams.
So it seems he isn’t traveling early in the week to meet with both teams he is covering. I agreed that a coach like Harbaugh would probably not like having Brady to share decisions with.
