I bought the SprintTour (http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/motobecane/spt05.htm) a few weeks ago. Full Ultegra 10 speed for $1095. Other components aren’t bad either. Even the frame seems to be pretty good. So the welds aren’t supersmooth; who cares for that price.
I wouldn’t hesitate to get one. If it turns out you don’t like it, sell it for parts on Ebay, or move them over to another frame. Either way, you’re not going to loose any money.
I bought the Team Century last year. Full Dura Ace. Reichey wheels. I bought it thinking that it was about the cost of the parts with free frame and wheels. Other than the tires, I like it. Fit is not great so I’ll end up getting a new frame in the next year or so.
