what size tri bikes are you guys on?
Why? You planning on growing a lot more during your collegiate years ;-0
57ish Litespeed, 55 Cervelo, 56 Bianchi, 56 Specialized, L Giant, L Redline
.
hahahahahah, wait, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA thats like 6 inchs hahah.
ok no i am arguing wit ha friend, so far i am winning.
So if I am on a Large Giant TCR road bike, what would that put me on in a Cervelo? Looking at getting maybe a Dual or P2SL. What maybe a 56?
lge PX stealth pro carbon. 55 tt.
6’4" 59 Litespeed Blade
.
Just over 6’ on 56cm Fuji’s with 120mm stem. 54 TT bike with 110 stem.
59 specialized, and I think it’s too small (personal opinion)
.
About 6’2" on a XL Litespeed ('02 XL’s were about 59’s) and a 57ish QR (pretty small 57)
.
exactly 6’ on a 56, Kuota Large
.
i’m on a 55cm cervelo p2k, it fits great
.
6’1" riding stock 56 Guru and Trek road bikes. Stock Guru Tri bikes. I should be custom, but these work just great. I have ridden a large Giant TCR for a year, could not make it fit for the life of me, medium worked great.
As for what fits you. Don’t go by what the rest of us fit, we are all different.
Generally a large or a 56-57. Don’t focus solely on top tube though. You may find a frame with the ideal TT but the head tube is too small, leading to a few cms of spacers or too agressive of a position or worse. Get sized and use those measurements as a framework to work around.
58 (give or take a little)
like just about everything else with related gear for this sport…there are no absolutes.
6’ 4" and ride a 59 Guru.
I’m 6’0 with a short torso, I ride a 56cm Trek 2100 (110 stem), M Argon18 Platinum (120 stem), M Kuota K-factor
(80 stem) (though I really should be on a small I think, with a longer stem). On all those bikes I show quite a bit of seatpost.
K-factor is also an issue due to high stack height, since I have a short torso and long arms and legs, I need to switch the bars it comes with to low profile bars to get low enough in the front, and even then I’m squishing everything down as low as I can go and feel like I could go farther. Next bike will be a 52ish top tube with extremely low front end to help me have more room to play with and let me ride steeper. Slowman is my hero.
stack and reach numbers are the important ones for sure.
A smidge over 6’, 59cm Serotta Legend road bike, 57cm Cervelo P2SL TT bike.
