Bike on Hawaiian 717 connecting flight?

Does anyone know if Hawaiian Airlines will take a bike in a case on their connection flight from Honolulu to Kona?
I’m not sure if the Boeing 717 has a big enough cargo space for it.

A 717 should have plenty of room for a bike case. I’ve done it before when flying to Kona through HNL on Hawaiian, and I will be doing the same thing this October via Maui (also a Hawaiian Airlines 717).

Cargo space can be an issue. If there’s not enough room on your flight, the bike will be sent on a later flight. That happened to me going from the big island to Maui. It came the same day and they delivered it to my hotel.
