Just curious. What would you recommend for bike miles per week during peak weeks for HIM?
As many as you can fit in your schedule. There is no magic number.

to go fast? as many as possible.
to have a good time, you don’t need very many at all, if you are running a lot.
Just get 50 mile rides in on weekends a few times so you know that you can do so comfortably.

To meet your tru potential, probably more than you can imagine.
To be able to have a good race, it really depends on what you define as a good race.
Go out on the weekends and ride 50 and run 5 off the bike a few times. On race day, try to be in the same ball park as these rides/runs, and you won’t get yourself into trouble.
The trick is that on race day, you only ride up to your fitness level. If you over do the ride, you are in for a very long day.
I will start to have diminishing returns after near 180 miles. When I’m at that point i ride harder during the week.
Between 120-140 mpw. Intervals and tempo during the week and 40-70 mi long rides on weekends. Like someone posted previously, do some runs after your long rides.
Depends…on time, goals, ability, recovery etc.
For advanced with time I like:
Monday: 40 miles (intervals, 10 mile wu, 20 intervals, 10 cd)
Wednesday: 65 mile group ride
Friday: 30 miles (easy to mod)
Sat: 70-80 (mod to hard)
For intermediate reduce mileage on Mon, Wed and Friday
